Uth turn provides a variety of services to youth. Our workshops and sessions
are held at local church sites throughout New York City communities.
The types of programs Uth Turn offers are:

MENTORING by a trained facilitator who is a graduate of the New York Theological Seminary’s Master of Professional Studies Program

GROUP COUNSELING three times a week

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING that engages youth who are court mandated and youth who are at-risk of involvement with the criminal justice system addressing presenting problems including drugs, gangs, truancy, violence and anger management

FAMILY INVOLVEMENT – Uth Turn facilitators work with our Uth Turn participants and their parents/guardian(s), as well as siblings to improve and strengthen the family relationships which is vital in turning the lives around of at-risk youth

POSITIVE PEER INTERACTION AND HEALTY PERSONAL ASSOCIATIONS – this program component teaches how to choose “healthy” peer relationships and to avoid the pitfalls of negative associates

PROMOTING LEADERSHIP – Uth Turn teaches young people community responsibility and the important role that they play in shaping the conditions in their communities
